Design is 95% complete for the City's new maintenance and operations center located on a 22 acre site east of downtown. Site work construction has already begun with rough grading complete in 2007. A second site work contract with final grading, underground utilities, and a first lift of paving will be complete in early 2009. The first 5 of 14 buildings will be completed in 2010. The facility will accommodate the City’s main computers, the City’s SCADA system, the City’s Traffic Management systems, and around 230 staff. Parks, Public Works, and Vehicle Maintenance Operations will be located on site.
